Public testing options.

ShieldLabs and Fingerprint offer browser demos; the other links let you inspect an IP or preview a dataset. Turn your VPN on and off to compare what each tool sees. Access conditions below were checked October 20, 2026.

How to compare a connection with and without a VPN

  1. Open a checker with the VPN disconnected and record the public IP, classification and time.
  2. Connect the VPN, reload the checker and repeat the same test. For a browser demo, repeat its demonstrated action too.
  3. Compare the exit, network flags and any device/session result. Repeat with other exits and legitimate privacy connections before choosing a tool.

FAQ

Is this page an automatic VPN checker?

This is a directory of vendor tests. Open a linked checker to run a connection check; each vendor controls its data collection, available fields and usage limits.

Does a negative VPN result prove the whole device is protected?

No. A classification result describes the request a checker sees. Use the IP, DNS and browser checklist to inspect the applications and network paths you intend to cover.

How should I compare the demos?

Repeat the same action with the VPN disconnected and connected, record the exit and output, then repeat across relevant environments. The deployment guide explains a broader pilot.
